APPLIANCE TECHNICIAN IV Qualifications: High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Ability to speak, read and understand the English Language. Must have clear and acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver's requirement. Self motivated and willing to expand skills for further advancement. Work at various heights and in all weather conditions. Salary/Pay Grade $15.15/HS4 Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year Terms of Employment: 260 days Essential Functions: Perform assigned tasks cheerfully and promptly. Work in harmony with others. Complete each task with proper written records as required by department guidelines. Provide prompt assistance to others for operation, repair or replacement of refrigeration, cooking and laundry equipment. Comply with district policies. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. APPLIANCE TECHNICIAN III Qualifications: High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Ability to speak, read and understand the English language. Must have clear and acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver's requirement. Work at various heights. Minimum 2 years of experience in the trade preferred. Working knowledge of refrigeration, cooking, laundry and pool heating equipment. Current E.P.A. universal certification required. C.F.C. recovery skills required. Work from blue prints, schematics and specifications. Salary/Pay Grade $16.61/HS6 Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year Terms of Employment: 260 days Essential Functions: Perform all responsibilities of an Appliance Tech III. Operate all meters and gauges common to trade. Install and repair all types of refrigeration, cooking, laundry equipment. Repair minor malfunctions in appliance equipment. Properly fill out work orders and turn in on a daily basis. Work independently with limited direct supervision. Select and order parts needed for department. Prioritize, organize and complete paper work daily. Notify Foreman of problem areas with appliance equipment. Maintain inventory of supplies. Respond to emergencies in a timely manor. Salary/Pay Grade $18.28/HS7 Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year Terms of Employment: 260 days Essential Functions: Perform all duties of an Appliance Tech III & IV. Account for truck, material, time and zone of buildings within the district. Supervise and teach an apprentice in skills to meet job requirements. Construct, modify or install appliance equipment. Estimate jobs. Examine district facilities on a regular basis for preventive maintenance and safety. Report unsafe conditions and practices which would possibly result in an occupational illness to staff or students. Troubleshoot and locate problems with appliance equipment. Train and assist others in repair and operation of appliance equipment. Perform other duties assigned. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. APPLIANCE TECHNICIAN I Qualifications: High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Ability to speak, read and understand the English language. Complete working knowledge of codes and ordinances concerning appliance equipment. Read, comprehend and edit specifications and prints for new construction. Salary/Pay Grade $22.66/HS9 Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Borad of Trustees for the school year Terms of Employment: 260 days Essential Functions: Perform all responsibilities of an Appliance Tech II, III & VI. Troubleshoot and repair all types of appliance equipment. Construct, modify and install appliance equipment. Estimate, organize, install and oversee building modifications, repairs and material needed for department. Secure and restart building equipment in the event of equipment failure. Maintain necessary records and paperwork needed to complete jobs in a timely manor. Update Foreman/Leadman on progress of building modifications and work orders. Train and supervise other department staff. Plan ahead for department and district needs. Meet with architectural consultants on new or existing facilities. Perform other duties assigned by Foreman/Leadman. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. Physical Demands/Working Conditions for all levels: Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds. Be available to work different schedules or shifts to accomplish tasks. Be available for after hour demands, subject to 24 hour responsibility. Maintain emotional control under stress. Ability to work alone. Ability to keep information confidential.
