Full time CLOSING SOON Apply for this job Full-time Description JOB SUMMARY Local Routes & Home Daily! Responsible for the safe operation of the company delivery truck while ensuring the product inside is secure at all times. Maintains good relationships with customers and demonstrates strong customer service skills. Must be physically able to move and lift heavy objects. RESPONSIBILITIES Create a positive service environment with customers, ensuring strong customer satisfaction. Safely operate a delivery vehicle, keeping track of time and maintenance records. Ensure the safe storage and handling of all units on the delivery truck. Properly complete all paperwork pertaining to product deliveries and returns, including the delivery tickets and returned goods authorizations. Unload windows and doors utilizing material handling equipment provided in the delivery truck. Meet and exceed all delivery driver productivity goals. Make recommendations for continuous improvement to deliveries, loading, etc. Follow all federal government rules and regulations regarding transportation of goods. Meet scheduled delivery times to satisfy customer expectations. Pull product and/or load trucks as needed. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Reports directly to the Manager of Order Fulfillment or the Warehouse Manager. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Available for morning shift (5:30am - 2:00pm) Ability to push, pull, and move heavy objects (100 pounds and more) and knowledge of effective use of material handling equipment. A safe driving record and the ability to safely operate a large delivery truck. Ability to read maps, follow directions, and become familiar with truck routes. Carry or ability to obtain a valid Department of Transportation medical card. Ability to drive manual transmission trucks Gunton Corporation is pleased to be an equal employment employer.
