DRMP is seeking a motivated Deputy Project Manager to help the growing Alternative Delivery Market Sector based in our Orlando office. We are looking for a dynamic candidate who is knowledgeable in transportation design (roadway, drainage, traffic or structures) and willing to learn the ropes of project management including assisting the project manager with team coordination, attending client meetings, scheduling, invoicing, and implementing project management best practices. They should also be willing to market, control and develop projects for the Florida Department of Transportation , Overall project management assistance for complex roadway capacity projects on limited access facilities in Florida . This position is eligible for a sign-on-bonus starting at $10,000! Meet the leader shaping our team: Connect with the hiring manager - TJ Lallathin, PE, DBIA | LinkedIn Go beyond the job description: Uncover projects that ignite your passion - Alternative Delivery | DRMP Your Primary Responsibilities will include Conducts engineering investigations and plans work by completing well defined tasks including collection and analysis of data; performs routine calculations and participates in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions. Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, and designs for project. Prepares and updates schedules to advance the project. Collaborates with clients, sub-consultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements. Directs and mentors support staff. What you'll need Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Professional Registration, PE , with 7 - 15 years in field related work experience. OpenRoads preferred Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines. Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment. Experience designing capacity projects for FDOT and/or tolling authorities such as CFX , Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, THEA etc. Management duties include budgeting, scheduling, job tracking, client interaction, and staff management. Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to forge strong relationships with clients, professionals and your team members. Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
