Job Description

Full-time Description Are you an over the road driver looking for more time, but still ok with staying out 1-2 nights a week when needed? Are you looking to have your weekends back? Then we may have the position for you. FrontLine Bldg Products Inc. in Green Bay is looking for a Class A CDL Driver. The CDL Driver position is responsible for delivery of building products to scheduled locations in a timely manner. This position requires overnight stays 2-3 nights a week traveling to Minnesota and Fargo, ND one week and central Iowa the next week. On the other days, deliveries will be made to Eau Claire, Medford and Northeast Wisconsin. Customer service with customers is essential in this position when delivering material to job sites and customer offices. Safely driving within the DOT guidelines. The driver will also help in the warehouse when they are not needed for deliveries. Responsibilities: Performs daily pre-trip inspections, including pre-inspection forms and completes minor maintenance if needed. Reports on any mechanical or maintenance related issues to the Plant Manager in a timely manner. Performs shipping and receiving duties, including data entry of orders, verifying quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing materials, and documentation. Completes daily DOT logs in compliance with DOT regulations. Processes paperwork such as tickets and bills of lading. Ensures the customer’s signature on the receipt of material and collects on COD charges when specified. Ensures correct inventory by verifying material counts for accuracy. Reports any issues to the Plant Manager that were discovered at the job site. Requirements Qualifications: Must have a valid CDL Class A driver’s license, required. Two years of verifiable experience driving a 53’ tractor trailer within the last 5 years, required. Ability to meet all DOT regulations to receive and maintain a med card, required. As a condition of continued employment, employees working in a position requiring driving as an essential function of the job, are required to maintain a valid license, and an acceptable driving record as per our insurance provider’s requirements.
