This is a full_time Over-the-Road (OTR) position with DB Schenker in Midwest City, Oklahoma County. The position pays $87,146 - $87,146/yr.
OTR trucking involves long-haul routes that cross multiple states, often keeping drivers on the road for two to three weeks at a time before returning home. These positions are ideal for drivers who enjoy travel and independence, and they typically offer the highest pay in the industry. OTR drivers are the backbone of America's freight system, moving goods coast to coast on tight schedules.
Learn more about over-the-road (otr) trucking →A typical day as an OTR driver begins before sunrise with a walk-around pre-trip inspection of your truck and trailer. You plan your route, check weather and traffic conditions, and hit the road. Over the course of 10 to 11 hours of driving, you cover several hundred miles, managing fuel stops and rest breaks within your Hours of Service limits. Communication with dispatch keeps your schedule on track, and at the end of the day you find a truck stop, log your hours, and rest up for tomorrow.
Complete CDL school, earn your Class A license, and gain your first year of OTR experience with a training carrier.
