Dolese Delivers: Stable Foundation Treat with Respect Safe Environments Employee Focus JOB SUMMARY : Responsible for batching ready mix concrete in a timely manner, and oversee the daily operation of the plant, including but not limited to operations, maintenance, production, inventory control, safety, environmental compliance, customer service, and supervision of plant employees. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Maintain control and distribute mail and inventory. Ensure concrete loads are batched promptly in accordance to job and ASTM Specifications, safely and efficiently. Schedule material deliveries and ensure adequate inventories in order to meet customer needs, including aggregates, cements, admixtures, fuel and warehouse products. Complete and maintain reports, such as daily petty cash report, CWC reports, environmental reports, and employee hour reports. Ensure that a safe workplace is maintained based on company policies and OSHA guidelines. Ensure that operation remains in compliance with all applicable environmental standards. Maintain plant in excellent condition, mechanically and esthetically. Oversee plant employees such as drivers, loader operators, and laborers. Ensure that employees are working safely, efficiently, and consistently with company policies and guidelines. Ensure that plant equipment and yards are kept in proper and clean condition, such as the batch plant, trucks, loaders, and other equipment. Maintain good working relationships with co-workers and outside agencies’ personnel. Perform daily material testing such as material moisture, concrete air content testing. Ensure the proper storage of all materials, parts, and supplies. Make mail deliveries and pickups as needed. Operate and drive light and heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience/Education/Skill Must successfully complete the Batchman I Career Path competencies within 6 months and it must be approved by a supervisor. Minimum Class B CDL with air brakes. Truck driving experience. Good safety and driving records. Excellent verbal, written and comprehension communication skills. Ability to read, write and figure basic mathematical calculations and clerical skills. Ability to create and maintain maintenance records. Must possess a mechanical aptitude. Willingness to work nights, overtime and weekends as required. Excellent interpersonal skill and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships. Extensive knowledge of the surrounding area and company products. Ability to work near, around or on light or heavy equipment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 100lbs. of weight frequently Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and climb ladders Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects Ability to use vibration tools repeatedly Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
