We are committed to remain on the front lines, along with our community-based partners, to provide nutritious food and resources for Oklahomans facing hunger. A Day in the Life Delivering Products and Pickup: Deliver products to agencies and scheduled pickup sites. Pick up products from donors within the state of Oklahoma. Loading and unloading of trailer, using the lift gate. Clean the equipment and general dock area within the warehouse. Pre-Trip Inspection and Reporting: Conduct a pre-trip inspection of the tractor and trailer. Report any defects to the supervisor. Delivery Process: Deliver to agencies and drop products at predetermined sites for agency pickup. Check the delivered products against the pick ticket to ensure accuracy. Fill out an incident report, noting any issues at the delivery site. Pickup Process: Pickup products from donors as directed by the supervisor or route. Equipment Maintenance: Clean the tractor at the end of each shift. Clean the trailer as needed. Fuel the equipment as needed. Documentation and Reporting: Complete electronic mileage log documentation of times and mileage for all stops. Have a debriefing of the route with the supervisor daily. Your Impact Efficient Product Distribution: Ensure essential items and goods reach the people and organizations that need them. Meet the demand for various products. Improves access to necessary resources. Facilitating Donations: Enable the collection of donations from various sources. Ensure contributions from donors can be gathered and distributed to those in need. Helping Partner Agencies: Helps local community agencies in their efforts to serve vulnerable populations. Agencies receive the necessary supplies and resources to fulfill their missions. Address the needs of the community. Ensuring Accuracy and Accountability: Ensure accuracy in distribution. Prevent mistakes and discrepancies. Foster accountability for the delivery process. Maintaining Equipment and Safety: Ensure the equipment remains in good working condition. Promote safe and reliable transportation of goods. Efficient Transportation: Optimize transportation routes and logistics. Ensure efficient use of resources. Reduce unnecessary costs. Improves overall productivity. Helping Supply Chains: Help the movement of products from donors to agencies and pickup sites. Contribute to the smooth functioning of the distribution process. Ensure that products are available where and when they are needed. This position is accountable for delivering essential products to agencies and pickup sites. They collect donations from donors. They handle loading and unloading trailers. This position keeps equipment clean and safe. This role helps community agencies by providing them with necessary supplies. Preferred Qualifications How you have spent your time: Working for at least 1 year as a CDL driver. Required Qualifications How you have spent your time: Obtaining a high school diploma or GED. Maintaining a Class A CDL. Maintaining a clean driving record. Other Qualifications: Clearance of background investigation and drug screen. Pass physical examination. Your Environment Full exposure to extreme weather changes and humidity/moisture relative to atmospheric condition variations. Includes exposure to extreme summer and winter temperatures, as well as rain, sleet, and snow. Full exposure to dust, chemicals, gases, fumes, smoke, excessive noise, and/or vibrations. Work generally performed in an industrial environment (indoor or outdoor) with various hazards and noise exposure. Travel is required. The job also requires availability for rotating on-call schedule, occasional unscheduled call-outs and extended workdays and/or workweeks. Overtime, Weekend and/or Holiday hours may be required. *Duties and responsibilities may be added or changed at any time at the discretion of your supervisor, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Physical Demands The company will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities. Utilize multi-limb coordination and flexibility combined with control precision to perform fine motor skills including: finger manipulation, grasping, feeling, arm-hand steadiness, in order to push, pull or lift objects Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work involves climbing at heights at or above six feet. Utilizes multi-limb coordination to balance on even or uneven surfaces, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, and walk, reach over shoulders or below the knees. Auditory attention and hearing sensitivity is required, as candidates must possess the ability to distinguish various sounds that serve as key maintenance indicators.
