OTR driver 1099, Based in Ohio. ❮ back to last search SAV WAY LLC Little Rock, Arkansas 2100-2500 USD per week Full time NEW Apply for this job Job Summary Contract Driver (1099, Solo) Dry Van OTR $2,100 - $2,500 gross total weekly avg. pay 3,000 - 3,500 avg. miles per week $500 sign on bonus LTL No Driver Load/Unload Home Time 14 - 21 expected days out You can stay out longer if you want to Get 3 days of home time for every 14 days worked Home at least 2 weekends per month Core Responsibilities include, but are not limited to Inspection of vehicle, equipment, and cargo to ensure everything is safe, legal, and secure. Submitting customer paperwork and deposits including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports. Maintaining a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulations. Being available for work at all times in order to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules. Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area. Daily customer interactions and maintaining good customer relations. A Day in the Life

A typical day as an OTR dry van driver starts early with a thorough pre-trip inspection of your tractor and enclosed trailer. You hit the interstate and cover 450 to 550 miles, stopping for fuel, meals, and mandated 30-minute breaks. Much of your day is spent on the open highway, managing your Hours of Service log and communicating with dispatch about your next load. At the end of your shift you park at a truck stop or rest area, settle into the sleeper berth, and prepare for another day on the road.
