About the Job We are currently seeking Class A CDL Truck Drivers for dispatch from our Boonville, NC terminal to operate in the Northeast Region. Southland has regional CDL-A truck driver runs in the Northeast that get you home weekly –or more often! Family owned and operated, when you drive for Southland you are family! We're large enough to provide you the earning opportunities you have to have, but small enough to know you by your name, not your truck number. Take your reset at home every week! No New York City or Long Island runs! Job Summary Owner Operator Refrigerated and Dry Van OTR $2,000 - $6,000 gross total weekly avg. pay. Paid weekly. 2,800 - 3,200 avg. miles per week Paid fuel surcharge Base plate discounts available Dedicated, Line Haul No Driver Load/Unload Home Time 5 expected days out No guaranteed weekends home Core Responsibilities include, but are not limited to Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area. Inspection of vehicle, equipment, and cargo to ensure everything is safe, legal, and secure. Being available for work at all times in order to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules. Maintaining a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulations. Submitting customer paperwork and deposits including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports.
