POSITION TITLE: Foreman CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt POSITION OVERVIEW: ADB is a Nationwide full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline, Wireless, ISP, AV, and Engineering. ADB is seeking a Foreman to join our wireline team and provide proficient level manual laborer and equipment operations. This position will lead the installation of fiber optic cable for various telecommunication projects. The ideal candidate will be safety focused, customer and quality centric, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides proficient-level manual labor and operations including hand digging with a shovel, setting up traffic control, entry level equipment operations, placing fiber, loading materials, operating equipment, leading crews, etc. on various safety sensitive utility construction sites Proficient with utility print and map reading Has performed at least 1 year of independent operating of various equipment (directional drill, mini, plow, hydro, etc.); fully trained in all safety regulations of operating heavy equipment Supports and leads the setup and shut down of utility construction projects including traffic control in various conditions including highways, side streets, parking lots, downtown locations, etc. Safety is the expectation, always leads and follows the required safety practices while performing safety sensitive duties Has professionalism to communicate directly with customers, subcontractors, homeowners, etc. and address any complaints/issues that may arise Trains other construction crew members on fiber installation practices, print reading, equipment operations, OSHA requirements, etc. Loads and unloads materials and equipment in from vehicles at construction yards and jobsites Leads by example, ensures safety rules/regulations are followed, and can lead others on jobsites Performs OTJ training with Senior Foreman and/or Supervisors to grow skills in the utility construction trade Leads the culture of identifying hazards by utilizing the pre-task process Performs other position duties when requested SUCCESS FACTORS: Travel Ability Nationwide A strong belief in ZERO- Being Safe 100% of the time is the expectation Alignment with company mission, vision, and values Strong work ethic with an ALL-IN attitude Strong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team members Ability to perform in a fast paced/high volume environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills A high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skills Ability to be organized, problem solve, and be solution oriented Self-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals Leadership skills; can lead construction crews on active jobsites Excellent at learning and following direction Basic level understanding and utilization of electronic data, systems, applications on Ipads, Iphones, Laptops, etc. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc. May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite Regular exposure to all weather conditions including hot, humid, cold, rain, snow, ice, etc. When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 2+ years of utility construction experience acting as a crew leader and/or foreman required 1+ year of heavy equipment operating experience required (Hydro, Drill, Mini, Plow) Valid driver license with a clean driving record required CDL License (or the ability to obtain) required High School Diploma or equivalent required The starting pay for this position is [X amount] and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
