About Flatbed Trucks
Flatbed trailers have an open deck with no sides or roof, making them ideal for oversized cargo like lumber, steel, machinery, and building materials. Flatbed drivers must know how to tarp and secure loads using chains, straps, and binders, which is a specialized skill set that commands premium pay.
