We strive to make our communities better places to live, work, and grow. We are seeking a motivated and dedicated General Laborer-Street Sweeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a heavy-duty sweeper truck to clean and manage dust and debris from street and yard areas. In addition to supporting various general labor tasks in the sorting and handling of scrap materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the work environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety. What You Will Do Operate sweeper trucks and equipment to clean street and manage dust, debris, and runoff Safely drive and operate company vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations Assist with troubleshooting, minor equipment repairs, and coordinating service needs. Accurately complete daily paperwork and required documentation. Keep vehicles and job sites clean, safe, and compliant with safety standards. Picking Line Operations: Sort scrap materials to upgrade and remove nonconforming items to ensure quality and efficiency. Remove spillage from conveyors using mobile equipment and hand tools, maintaining a clean and safe work area. Perform regular maintenance on both mobile and fixed equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Follow all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support the overall operations of the facility. What We Look For Valid CDL-Class A or B with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements. Clean driving record and ability to obtain DOT Medical Card. Familiarity with DOT safety regulations and procedures. Ability to work in all types of weather conditions and in various physical environments. Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers. Comfortable working around wet or humid environments, noise, fumes, and wastewater exposure. Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new skills and take on new tasks. A clear understanding and commitment to following safety regulations and guidelines. Physical Requirements : Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more repetitively on a regular basis. Ability to stand and work for extended periods of time, maintaining focus and productivity. Ability for standing long periods, bending, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
